More frustration than its worth

The app doesnt sync 65% of the time. The time on the band always gets messed up. I cannot readd my band to the app after it accidentally got deleted.

Sync rarely works now (worked okay for 2 weeks). Usually it gives a message that sync worked and resets the data on the watch but there is no data in the app and the last sync datetime does not change. I lost 2 weeks of data because of this. Then today was one of the magical days that sync worked. The date in the watch also changes randomly to 24hr format and the wrong time, requiring a reset if the time via the app. Im disappointed and unimpressed with this app. Pretty bad.

Has stopped syncing

Worked great for two weeks until yesterday when it stopped syncing. Tried all of the suggestions from the previous reviews and none of them worked. Sounds like a recurring problem for many people who have purchased this item??

Good bang for my buck -

I received my activity band for Christmas present on my request, after doing months of research on top name brand bands. I find that the pivotal living is a great program especially for a start-up. I love the fact that its $12 a year with the band, tracking app, and support… Speaking of support I have emailed questions and got responses very quickly that gets a five star! The really cool part is each year you renew your annual contract (for lack of a better word) and receive a brand-new band. After using my band since Christmas, the only drawbacks are its a little difficult to get it to sync because you have to push the sync button on the app and then have the right timing to press the button on the band. I also had a little challenge with getting the dashboard to update after syncing, but I went to the support page and found a solution. Their suggestion to clear the cache on my iPhone, log out of the app, log back in and then sync, worked like a charm!

Like the band but..

The band is fine cant reset steps or anything though, it auto resets at midnight not ideal for someone who works graveyard, would be nice too have that feature or a button in the app, speaking of the app, it doesnt work, band wont stay synced and have too sync it every time for your numbers too show up in the app, if you can get it too stay synced all the troubleshooting seems too blame your device, I have not had any problem with anything Ive connected too via Bluetooth, the app need some serious work.

Syncing feeling

Really wanted this to be great and avoid the expense of a Fitbit, but alas....I have a syncing feeling. Disappointed.

The worst

I havent even had the band for a full day and it stopped syncing. Ive tried everything they recommend, and nothing has changed :(

STOP! Dont waste your time or money!

First of all, nothing works without a subscription--except the time. You have to pay a yearly subscription which is not guaranteed to not rise at their whim. Continuing syncing issues . Unclear directions. Poor support. And no guarantees, no returns. Caveat emptor!

Yep, its that bad

Couldnt even add the band to the app. Dozens of people have told you it doesnt work. Were telling it like it is. Complete garbage. And now I have to dispose of it like a battery. Why is this app still in the store? It should be pulled. Thanks Pivotal Living. You got my moms money and a little of my time.

Wont Sync. Im embarrassed I gave this as a gift.

It wont sync no matter how many times I try. Ive had this for 24 hours and its a nightmare. The worst part is I had one sent to my boyfriend for Valentines Day and it doesnt work. Im out $30 and it doesnt work. Hopefully an app update or something will fix this. I was really excited and want expecting a miracle product for the price, just wanted it to do what it says it does.

Nutritional History

There is supposed to be a "history" button for nutrition just like the water, but it is not there. Please fix this.

Exasperated disappointed

Got these for free from a bank for opening an account. Yay! But worked with bad syncing all day. Now have read all these other bad reviews. Not worth my time. Booo!

Worst app ever!!

Doesnt sync properly with band, no wonder thats why this tracker is $12. After every update this app gets even slower.

Not that good

The actual band is pretty good... But, the app keeps on saying that there is a " service error " when I make my profile please tell me why

So far, so good! Well....not really

Last update: Gave up long ago. And now the company has given up. No big surprise with how poorly this whole product was launched. Good idea but this could truly be a case study on how NOT to launch a business. And a very good lesson on how important it is to have good communication with customers. Also something this company did poorly. Even their statement on FB that they were suspending business was confusing and murky. Second update: going downhill. Syncing difficulties increasing, lots of resets, minimal documentation or help available. Company pushed a lot of their customer service to a Facebook user group, which actually is a huge improvement over their service, so I guess not a bad idea. Still a great concept but execution, not really. Update: Mine still works pretty well but definitely have the static problem. I think the company is underestimating how many of the bands have this issue. Like the fact the company is trying and improvements are being released. Glad they will have better, and more regular, communication going forward. Mine is working great. Really pleased so far. Battery life is great and syncs immediately. Only had one time where the band crashed and lost data but thats it so far. I do sync multiple times daily in case of crashes, it would be nice not to have to worry about that. Would like to see a better face on the band, mine is lightly scratched already. Also would like to see way more support about what the graphs mean, like sleep. And a way to adjust hydration down as well as up, missed a couple of times and cant redo. Love the activity reminder too but would like to be able to set my own time frame, not every 10 minutes, although probably healthy for me to leap up then, not very practical really. The Facebook support page set up by users is really helpful. Hope someone from the company watches that.

Spotty functionality

Ive had the band for 4 months. After 2 months, it stopped working completely for about 3 days, then started working again. Since then, it has periodically stopped syncing and has to be rebooted, losing all the data since the last sync. So now I try to remember to sync more often and reboot at the first sign it wont sync. I wish there was a way to enter sleep time manually with beginning and end times and have the motion data for that time period apply if you forget to push the button before you go to sleep.

Horrible.

Tracker is useless. It wont sync and the time is wrong. When I follow the steps to reset the time that doesnt work either. Very frustrating.

Good App, Simple

The app is simple and easy to use. But please PLEASE make it so that hydration and sleep can be manually edited/input (not just deleted) for previous days. I dont always get a chance to input my hydration before 12 midnight and I sometimes forget to set my band to sleep mode so being able to edit those two things manually would be great.
